What was the point of pink sunglasses?

I've read before that they are his "trademark" or something like that. I think he always wears pink sunglasses when he goes outside - whether it's just out to lunch with friends or attending the Golden Globes Awards Show. He didn't wear them on stage!

I've heard that they're his "lucky" sunglasses. He wears them all the time(no, seriously, sometimes even when he's indoors), and they're probably his only sunglasses. If you like the pair you have and they block the sun what need do you have for more? I doubt he wore them to "add some color to his outfit" or to "make a fashion statement" or whatever it is that people are saying. They're his favorite sunglasses and that's that. Darren wearing those glasses rather than trading them in for something more expensive shows that under that Armani tux he is still the same genuine, dorky (I use it as a term of endearment), star struck "new kid." I bet a lot of Darren Criss fans were glad to see the sunglasses return regardless of the event. I have a necklace that I wear everyday no matter what the occasion and I know many others that do too. It is unfair to judge Darren for being a normal person, I know, God forbid.

I'd say at most it could be a little message to his fans from AVMP and stuff that he's really still the same guy, even though he's now quickly gaining popularity being on a hit TV show and going to award shows and stuff. But I doubt it was even that... I think it's just because he wears them all the time. Seriously, google image search 'Darren Criss pink sunglasses' and tonnes of picture will come up.

He also uses a picture of pink sunglasses as his Twitter image!

He wears them all the time, they're his trademark. They're his favourite sunglasses and he can wear them whenever he damn well wants to.

Everyone in Starkid Productions (the theater company he started with his friends) has brightly colored sunglasses. Darren's are pink, and I think he wears them to let his friends and fans know that he's still the same guy he was before Glee. Wearing them to the Golden Globes was kinda like taking a piece of them to the Golden Globes, you know? I think the glasses are fun, and honestly... who cares what the fashion people think of Darren Criss? It's the Golden Globes! They're just sunglasses! At an event like that, he's barely a blip on the radar lol. Why should he give a *beep*

Ummm, if the Globes are about the A-list stars, then how could Justin Bieber get away with attempting to poorly imitate Darren by wearing those 3D glasses on the exact same red carpet? This is just something that Darren ALWAYS wears when he's out in the public, whereas Bieber was the one wearing his pair to draw attention.

The sunglasses will return this Tuesday on Glee.
