If Bbhmm is anything to go by
She should give up music and take up directing. Anyone agree?
shareThat song alone has kept her from releasing her anticipated new album for nearly a year, it seems. She's a mess, she has no idea what kind of shocking music will be accepted by her fans. BBHMM was a huge turn off for most of us that were fans of hers. I still like her previous albums, but her new three songs that came out in attempt to support her new musical effort, were a complete dump. I was mostly turned off by her bad mouthing on her own music. Stating that she was sick of singing songs that meant nothing to her and she wanted to have timeless songs. At that point, it offended me because I do like her previous work and some of those songs can be timeless for the generation that grew up with them. She seemed to be talking very big when stating that she was going to release timeless meaningful and true artistic music with her next album. I think she was high on TIDAL because at that point she most likely had full control over her music and felt the need to highlight that anything new was her and not some record label telling her what to sing and how to sing it.
Then comes American Oxygen and BBHMM which were both quite a let down, after her big talk. I guess they would of had been better accepted if she had kept her mouth shut about her old music. These songs were by far worst attempts than past generic hits such as Where Have You Been and even Cake. I guess American Oxygen was supposed to give a deep message and BBHMM was supposed to be as timeless as Umbrella. But that failed. So after that she had to get back to the drawing board and probably re-do her entire album. She's announced a world tour without a single. Her album is supposed to drop as a surprise on Friday and all of that without a single. I guess she's probably scared that after her single comes out, fans will again be turned off by her musical direction and be forced to re-do her album, once again.
She recently gave a full list show in which she sang her previous hits. Funny how those songs still had fans singing and supporting. Yet she changed a few of the songs because she didn't like the instrumental.
I liked the songs she did for the Home film soundtrack. I get though that she probably doesn't consider them 'canon' in her discography or whatever.
