This is an old post but Nah he would be a terrible Punisher,Punisher needs to be an alpha male and somebody thats dead inside.
I can maybe see him as Tony Stark(Better than RDJ) or Green Arrow,I can buy him as an argent playboy whos into politics thats what Oliver Queen is
