How can a gr8 movie become the WORST ... Recast it 4+ w/ Digital Avatars

f she is the director of a movie that was already released prior with different Directors is it safe to ask is Sam Taylor-Johnson (a female) jut she just a name or is she copying and crediting herself for someone else's work? Maybe that was the problem a female director ... its hard to screw up a great movie but she managed to do it. AMAZING

The reason for the low ratings is its a fraction of the movie it could be with the right actors playing the roles ...

Its a pretty terrible and flawed system that created a movie that allowed now upwards of 4+ actors all to be allowed to call themselves Christian Grey

1)Matthew Bomer : To be released in the Los Angeles area and Calabasas February 2013 but was recast and shot 1 month or less before release date

2)Charlie Hunnam : Rumored

3)T.J Dalrymple : I just saw his name on a poster in pinterest so its a new one to me.

4)Jaime Dornan : The final decsion after months of looking for just the right guy. The first movie 50 shades of Grey released Valentine Weekend in 2015. The 2nd movie 50 shades darker is scheduled for release in 2017. He Costarred with Dakota Johnson both no name beginers who were all wrong for each other and the attraction just wasn't there it felt almost forced and they were way to young and naive to play that kind of role... and the fact that she so closely resembled my younger sister Lauren (a one woman guy who married her boyfriend Jayson after 10 years and now I have a very adorable nephew Jaxson but it kind of makes me freak out a little when he was conceived during the filming of this version of the movie and born about 3 weeks before it came out in theaters (him 1/19/15 , the move 2/14/15) in a movie I felt that was made for me and a relationship that broke down all my defenses (in a good way) then came the part in the movie when she was negotiating the contract and she was very against fisting and said no way, well one of the most off the charts nights I can remember involved me on my bed him with a camera standing over me fisting me and being totally out of control with desire wanting him to stop but not because I was scared of such intense pleasure.

Then there's the character that played Elliot Grey in the version I saw with Jaime Dornan and who was a billion times hotter than Jaime and who I believe may have actually been the original Luke Grimes ... in the scene where Anna and Christian walk in and find her roommate with Elliot on the couch then they both go to leave and Elliot says "laters baby"to the roommate (hot) and Christian follows saying the same thing to Anna (weird and forced) which is why I never understood why the line was so famous with the movie... actually to me it triggered a longing for the guy who always told me to be good before leaving and I always promised him I would try.

Sorry...but myself and a million other women would disagree..Jamie is Christian..they had to go with relative unknowns.

and the quote "laters baby" was often used by Elliot...so..Christian was trying to be "lighter and more fun",which sounds forced and weird, for this buttoned up,cold as ice, kind of guy to say...and a few months ago, he would never have uttered such a phrase... and this becomes a joke between Christian and Ana..and used in all 3 books..and the line was a favorite of the book readers..

Remakes are never as good as their original, but I thought FSOG gave it the old college try. Jamie did pretty well considering the shadow he was thrusted into, but come on---the original Christian Grey is pretty hard to live up to. The og Christian lit up the screen as well as the hearts of fans alike, so really, Jamie was fighting an uphill battle. That actor is a legend. My personal opinion is that when a film (albeit older one) wins an Oscar for best picture, it's best not to attempt to remake said film. There's no point, really. You can't go any higher than the mountain top and winning an Oscar is the ultimate peak among peaks...am I right or am I right?

Maybe one day when there's a remake of the remake, we will all look back and say the first remake wasn't really all that bad. Now, if there's a third remake, the first remake is endangered of being completely nullified in the minds of its endearing fans...and the fourth remake will obliterate the first two...so boy oh boy, I sure hope that doesn't happen, but sadly I can see it taking place maybe five years down the road. Greed is need in the city of angels. But if does happen, and if we're lucky, maybe Ed Sheeran will get bored with music and cross over into acting by that point. He is after all a red head, closer to the original man who played Christian just a few years ago--oh and don't forget he can dance.

I am confused...what older movie are you talking about?...who was the actor who played Christian Grey?..what????????

reply

I am with you on this which is the first 50 shades? When who WHAT???

reply

Susparr I think you're really confused, Stacy. This movie was not a remake. You've got it confused with something else.

reply

Wait...are you replying to me in third person? Cool, let me try.

Stacy's not confused, she was making fun of the original poster's bizarre post above. Based on the replies, Stacy has noted that she is indeed not funny and will stop joking immediately since posters are getting too confused by her posts. She has also noted none are laughing. She apologizes for the confusion.

Susparr- not sure about what you mean by replying to you in 3rd person! I think I did reply to someone's post that I agreed with and then there was a post from someone who WAS confused.
Anyway, there are times when I think I'm hilarious and then I realize I fell miserably flat. Anyway, do have a good day. I think maybe we agree that critics can be just plain WRONG!
No way Jamie Dornan deserved the treatment he got from the Razzies. I felt sorry for him. It seems like he's a really sensitive guy. Actually, I don't think anybody should be treated that way. People don't set out to make a stinker movie. AND if it was not perfect maybe the fault is with the script, the director and ...the weather!

I find with the "Razzies"...they like to get on the bandwagon, they get lots and lots of publicity when they pick certain movies...all the Twilight movies and actors were nominated every time...but they usually don't pick the box office hits...usually the box office duds..plus anyone can join the Razzie club..if you pay the fee..whether you are a critic or not..or even a movie goer...no credentials required.
