Painful to Watch

Most child actors are prone to be a bit plastic, but I can no longer watch this one without regurgitating. Saw her in Terebethia on a trans-atlantic flight and thought she believably portrayed the typical pipsqueak; it wasn't bad. The other child actors in that movie were phenomenal, BTW. Now, it seems she's popping up at every casting call for a young female. Hated her in every movie since and today had to skip over her scenes in Once Upon a Time (although I must admit she is a dead ringer for a young Goodwin). Can someone please relegate her to Nickelodeon with all the other tween-something hams, or at least take the time to teach her out to authentically act?? Aren't there anymore promising actors in this age group or does the public have to suffer just b/c she has a good agent...

I think she is a good actress but the most recent Once upon a time episode she did was a bit overacted. the director of the show should of had her tone it down.

The only thing I've seen Madison in is the "Law & Order: SVU" episode "Locum," in which she played the adopted daughter of a neurotic woman (Joan Cusack in a dreadful over-the-top performance that, along with the presence of the brat, makes this one of the worst episodes of SVU I have ever seen) and her husband who adopted the kid partly as a replacement for the daughter they lost to a kidnapper ten years earlier. The kid is an obnoxious little thing, but I suppose it's hard to blame her considering she senses that she is not the child her parents really want. They've even gone so far as to dye her hair and give her a nose job.

Madison does bratty and obnoxious very well. Maybe too well. The end of the episode, in which the parents are reunited with their long-lost daughter while the little girl looks on, reveals that the kid was right all along and the audience is asked to feel sorry for the child. Unfortunately she's been such a miserable obnoxious little bitch it's hard to feel anything for her except the urge to turn her over your knee and wallop her heiney until she screams "uncle."

I came here to post the exact same thing. She's the child version of Nick Cage when it comes to overacting. Horrible and annoying.

Haha! I was going to say William Shatner. She's just awful, not sure why she continues to get work.
