I liked him until I saw how cocky and arrogant he was at last nights BAFTA ceremony. A little but of humbleness wouldn't go astray... He's not up there with the real big shots yet!... But seems too have a bit of a god complex haha

It was just british banter. It was a brit award show, he is a brit, there was some humour there. The host was also making jokes left and right in a cocky manner.

I agree. I've seen more performances from his fellow breakout Brit thesps, Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne, yet in my opinion, O'Connell is far better than both. The other two are very fine actors, but I find O'Connell's acting to be much more raw and soulful.

Funny you said that. I'm watching this years BAFTA's now and couldn't help but notice what a cocky little tw@t he seemed like while presenting an award. Talented actor though. I knew he was special when I first saw him in Skins.

I seen him on last years BAFTAs, he won some breakthorugh type award and the swagger on him going up to the stage made me think what a right *beep* I don't bother with him after that.
