Seems like he is too young to have a receding hairline.

Not really.I've seen a few guys of 19 [not kidding] with receding hairlines and my mate's brother went very bald at around 21-22, it does happen unfortunately and its scary how little help there is for sufferers. Jack was 24 when you wrote this- balding/receding men at the young age of 24 is alot more common than one would think and studies show male pattern baldness to be on the rise and men of this generation to be getting hit by male pattern baldness at younger ages than ever before.
