Musk put his had over his heart and said "my heart goes out to you," and mimed throwing his heart to the crowd. Immediately the fake news outlets ran an audio-free, edited clip and pretended they thought it was a Nazi salute.

He literally said out loud, on the microphone, "my heart goes out to you." He then put his hand over his heart, and made a throwing gesture with that hand.
Politicians hold out their arm in that pose all the time. You can find videos of AOC doing, Hilary Clinton, Barack Obama, and just about everyone else. Trying to pretend that there was any intention of Nazism in Musk's gesture is asinine and disingenuous. You're pretending something is what it isn't because you want it to be true.
