Jessica Stroup is not anorexic

I'm tired of idiots saying celebrities like Jessica Stroup are "too skinny" or "scary skinny" and then proceed to diagnose them with an eating disorder. 90% of these people are jealous, overweight girls that are in denial and the other 10% are generic people with an opinion they think is a fact. People seriously have no idea what an eating disorder is. When 2/3 of the U.S. population is fat it's easy to be confused about what is healthy. In this country there is a big difference between "normal" and "healthy" - normal is now overweight and therefore normal is NOT healthy. Just because somebody is skinny doesn't mean they have an eating disorder. In fact, chances are they're more healthy than 95% of the population - especially the people that complain about them. It's pretty sad that it's gotten to a point where healthy, thin women are labeled as having something wrong with them because they aren't overweight like the average American. Quit wasting your time acting like a jealous idiot - spend that time exercising and working towards living a healthy life so that maybe some day you can be happy with yourself.

Believe it or not people aren't meant to have excess fat hanging on their bodies. Fat hanging over the waist of your jeans and flabby arms is not healthy (nor attractive.) The obesity epidemic is a product of our lifestyle. This country is filled with lazy, overeating slobs who make constant excuses for themselves. "I don't have time to exercise" "I just have a slow metabolism" "I have bad genes" "I'm happy with my overweight body, there's nothing wrong with it, and everybody else should be happy with it too" "The only way to lose weight is to develop an eating disorder" etc. The United States is the most advanced country in the world yet we have the highest rate of health-related issues (almost all due to people being overweight) and is no longer even in the top 50 countries for life expectancy. The U.S. outspends any other country on health care, yet we still aren't healthy. I honestly think healthy people who aren't overweight deserve tax breaks and insurance premium discounts. Overweight people cost this country hundreds of billions of dollars every year. We're living in the fattest country IN THE WORLD, we're slowly becoming the joke of the world, and there are magazine covers, newspaper articles, and people posting on Internet forums and blogs complaining about models and celebrities that are too skinny. Do you have any idea how hilarious that is?

Why is it that overweight people are supposed to feel good about themselves? They have a problem, they need to realize that, and take care of it. How difficult is it to take care of your body? I'm sick of people talking about how larger female celebrities are great role models for girls and the thin, fit celebrities are terrible role models and cause eating disorders. People in the United States have no idea how rare true eating disorders are. I'm not saying they're no big deal - people who have gone through them or have friends/family that have gone through them know it's no joke - but lets be serious. The real eating disorder we should be concerned with is overeating...and to make matters worse it's generally combined with a lack of exercise.

People need to stop this stupid trend of accusing people of having eating disorders because they are thin. Did anybody consider that perhaps it's because they eat healthy, and/or exercise, and/or have a high metabolism, and/or have a smaller frame, and/or have that body type in their genes? It's clear that nobody has any idea what anorexia is.

Jessica Stroup is hot, thin, fit, and, unlike nearly 70% of the rest of the U.S. population, completely healthy.

Probably the most potent dosage of ETHER I've come across in a long time on the Internet. Good post, man.

Uhm, she did have an eating disorder (probably still recovering). BUT she's been looking much HEALTHIER the past few monts.
You can't deny she looked like a skeleton in September, the first episodes of 90210, she just looked realy frail.
And if you look at videos of her on youtube around '07 you can tell she lost a LOT of weight.

She's looking better as of late. Both on pictures as on the show.

Hey Yours_Truly_Uhu, was this confirmed? I'm not trying to be like most of the population in here and being snarky, I am really curious. If it is, props to her for admitting it. Eating disorder or not, she is an amazing actress!

looking for somewhere to stand and stay, i leaned on the wall, the wall leaned away.

Jessica never said that she had an eating disorder. She acknowledged that she had lost weight when she was making a movie and during the shooting of the show because of the frenzied schedule. Her goal was to put on healthy weight, and it appears as if she has. I mean you're free to believe what you want, but here's the link:

Isn't it amazing how ignorant people are? I mean I feel ridiculous right now for posting on the Jessica Stroup message board...but when I saw all of these "OMG SHE'S A SCARY SKELETON!!1 SHE'S DIEING FROM ANOERXIC!!!!!!11" posts I had to say something. Then we have some moron come on here and say "UM...SHE DID HAVE AN EATING DISORDER." It baffles me how people can be so ridiculous. Somebody says they've lost some weight and suddenly these people think it's enough "data" to combine with their opinion/jealousy to "prove" it's true. These people have major issues.

This crap isn't unique to her - this crap is everywhere and I'm sick of hearing what these idiots have to say. It's not just magazines and Internet forums and message boards either - I overhear the same stuff at work from all of the fat ladies. They're constantly complaining about how skinny the one attractive female in the office is. I'm fired up about it because it's beyond annoying and these people are so far from reality it's pathetic. These are actual quotes I've heard within the last week alone:

"IT'S SO SAD (insert name of attractive non-fat female in my office here) IS STARVING HERSELF. SHE'S WASTING AWAY AND NEEDS HELP!"
(What I thought when I heard it): What's sad is that you're a lazy slob and slowly eating yourself to death and refuse to acknowledge it. You then proceed to say that the one healthy female in the office is the one with the problem. You're either a complete idiot, completely in denial, or a combination of the two.

"SHE LOOKS LIKE A 12-YEAR OLD BOY!"
(What I thought when I heard it): No - she looks like the exact opposite of you: somebody who is in shape. This girl doesn't have a big chest but that's just her body-type. Sure she could increase the size of her chest by gaining a bunch of weight...but fat people fail to realize that nobody cares about big boobs when they're attached to a big sweaty lady with a huge gut, flabby thighs, flabby arms, and a double-chin. She could get plastic surgery I suppose...but why? The fat ladies would just hate her even more. Most guys would agree that she looks stunning just the way she is. She takes care of herself and is thin, tone and healthy - that's what makes a girl attractive to 99% of guys. 95% of guys that claim to like bigger girls are either lying or in denial. You say she looks like a 12-year-old boy...I think she looks great and that you look like a 12-year-old hippo. Virtually every guy I know would agree with me.

"HER BOYFRIEND MUST BE A GAY SICKO BECAUSE SHE HAS THE BODY OF A SICKLY JUNIOR HIGH BOY."
(What I thought when I heard it): Believe it or not humans are generally more attracted to healthy people. You have no idea what is healthy or what most guys are attracted to. We'll see how proud you are of your "womanly" fat saggy E-cups in a couple years when somebody is wheeling you into the hospital for your bypass surgery and they're getting caught in the spokes. If a man had as much fat on him as you he'd probably have big boobs too. Since when do people think fat is sexy and feminine and being in good shape makes you masculine? Only an idiot would think that. If you care about your husband I would either get him the number for the suicide hotline or a divorce lawyer - as we stand here he's probably staring at a box of razor blades.

"SHE JUST DRINKS WATER AND HAS A COUPLE CARROT STICKS FOR LUNCH!"
(What I thought when I heard it): She eats healthy and doesn't stuff herself...but I've seen her eat and she's definitely not walking around hungry. She makes a lot of chicken or turkey wraps and usually snacks on fruits/vegetables throughout the day. You like to think she's starving herself because it makes you feel better about being a lazy face-stuffing fat lady.

Keep in mind this girl is in GREAT shape, works out 4-5 times/week, and I've never seen her skip lunch. Yesterday her lunch consisted of a chicken breast and some vegetables. These fatties think that because she didn't put chocolate sauce on her chicken she has a problem. Most of these fatties are stuffing their faces ALL DAY with chips and ice cream and popcorn and soda...taking a break only long enough to open their mouths and complain.

Nobody wants to believe there is something wrong with them - especially when it's a problem they created themselves (and if they weren't so lazy they could solve themselves.) They make themselves feel better by trying to convince each other (and themselves) that they're normal. The ladies in my office eat junk all day and never exercise (they all get winded if they have to go up 1 flight of stairs to the 2nd floor.) I can't even imagine going through life like that - what a waste. They are convinced that this thin, healthy, fit girl has a serious problem and not them.

I find it extremely sad that there are people out there that actually try to make people feel bad about being healthy. There are so many fat people in America that healthy people have become the minority. There is no advantage to being overweight...and the problem is just getting more and more out of hand. It's a combination of ignorance, denial, laziness, and jealousy. Instead of doing something about their problem overweight people would rather remain in denial and complain about, spread false rumors about, and put down thin people.

LOL @ this simpleton having a coneption because someone called Jessica Stroup skeletor. Dude its not the serious. And if you are 5'8 and weigh 100lbs that is not healthy you can even do a BMI on it and it will tell you that. The point is there are people who are underweight and people who are overweight.

Was Jessica really thin at one time? Yes. That does not mean that she had an eating disorder though. That's the point BroJama was trying to make. Just because someone doesn't gain 10 pounds at the drop of a hat does not mean that they are sticking their finger down their throat. I'm a relatively thin dude myself, but trust me, I eat. I have a faster metabolism than most so I get rid of it quickly.
