On Parenthood, she looks like she can play the cello for real. Can anyone verify? If not, they've done an excellent job simulating her skills.

She does not really play the cello in real life, or at least she didn't play it until she got the role on Parenthood. She has been practicing extensively with an instructor since getting the role and has received praise from Parenthood personnel for how well she has done. Apparently there is a "cello double" but they are having to use the double far less than they thought they would. The information about the instructor and lessons came from Courtney's Twitter account, and the praise and double information came from other Twitter accounts, I do not remember which ones. Hope this helps!
