There is literally no name that won't be offensive to someone either now or in the future.

Now that I no longer am a fan of baseball (or any American sport), I think we should start early and attack the Yankees. I plan to move to the Carolinas to mitigate my Northeast tax rates when my wife retires next year, and, as a new Southerner, plan to be offended by the name "Yankee" when I get there.

Guardians is a bad name for a baseball team. What are they guarding, home plate? It would make more sense for a football team at least.

The Cleveland Browns might be deemed problematic too. They should change their name to the Cleveland Pallbearers, so they can let their fans down one last time.
