He's a nice looking guy still. Don't know what happened. The Covenant and then 10,000bc, I thought he was on his way and then nothing.
Never heard anything bad about him or any controversy.
Maybe he can get back on track now.

That's debatable. Very Successful wouldn't mean forgettable. He's forgettable.

I was surprised to see him cast as Jim Holden in The Expanse as he wasnt my idea of the character but after watching it though he still doesnt look the part he does get the feel of him right..as for being "failed" I really cant agree ...

He has had moderate success. He was very good in the indie film "City Island", but it hasn't really translated into later success. He is a main character in "The Expanse", but he is very far from the best character.
