Prince and the Studios killed a great indie band.

Their first EP was frankly their best work and the only one I ever owned.

The Bangles were originally part of the "Paisley Underground" and a revival of a SoCal mod sound reminiscent of The Byrds.

Frankly, first the big record companies and then Prince co-opted and ruined their original mission. It culminated in Susannah Hoffs being an objectified "sex kitten". And the band's original defiant feminism was suppressed.

Haha. That's kinda funny that you say Michael Steele is the cutest. I remember my concert buddy used to dog on her and call her "The Big One". But that was just for memories. It was a great band.
