She seems to go out of her way to pass for white. Straightening her hair and wearing extensions is fine (lots of black or biracial women do that) but it's the other stuff like presumably TCA peels and a rhinoplasty that is meant to conceal her black heritage (take a look at her older pictures and you will see what I mean). People are deeming her as a good role model but what type of role model is she really?
shareMeh, plenty of obviously black women get plastic surgery and rhinoplasty because they want their features to stay angular for the camera. In most high profile productions casting agents look for people who have balanced facial features whether they're European, Asian, Middle-Eastern, African or a mixture. Faces that "stand out" as opposed to blend in are what counts for a majority of media stars from TV and Film to Music and Print.

Actually, she seems to go out of her way not to pass, because all the publicists involved in this mess are going out of their way to remind people that she's a BLACK WOMAN MARRYING A PRINCE.
