She has a great voice, she just doesn't have the right songs.

I think her career has been reasonably impressive as far as former American Idol contestants go. I don't think many have won Oscars. Maybe her music career hasn't been Whitney-level but all of her albums have gone Top 10 in the US. I'd be happy with that as an artist in the first decade of my career.

It will be interesting to see her as Aretha Franklin in 'Respect'. The Oscars love biopics so I wouldn't be at all surprised if she's up for another one soon.
