Kill off Rosita - weak character, weak acting

Irrelevant, useless, no character development. She serves no purpose other than to be there.

TWD premiere really showed how little faith they had in her character and to a degree, her performance. At times, she seems almost bored or annoyed, rather than grieving, aside from a few shocked teary faces around Negan. She also seems to pout a lot. Ever since she joined the show, she felt out of place with the other cast. Her monotonous Hollywood voice and cartoony appearance, completely out of place with the gritty rural Georgia environment.

She was in a relationship with Abraham since season 4, but it felt like she was rendered impotent as it focused on Maggie and Sasha's grief more. Both actually had lines (something Rosita rarely gets). Maggie lost her husband and Sasha lost a boyfriend, but Rosita was with Abraham longer. On social media, I'm seeing discussion about Abraham and Sasha's romance, but nothing about Rosita. It feels like her character was a useless dramatic device for a man to realise he wanted someone else instead... to have kids with?

So what's the point of Rosita? Doesn't seem like the writers are getting rid of her any time soon either. I don't really see any interesting character evolution coming. She didn't start out weak and become strong like Carol or Beth, she isn't a dynamic member of the group like Michonne, she hasn't lost everyone she's loved like Maggie or Sasha. She doesn't have an interesting history on the show and a distinct personality like Tara.

She needs to go.

Agree completely

I'm sure she's a good person in real life but, yeah, her acting is atrocious.

The season premiere this year, every time she was shown on-screen she was horrible. Just horrible.

Just a blank stare with no emoting at *all*. I thought for sure with Abraham's death she would do *something*. *Anything*. But no, she was horrible like always.

Plain and simple. She just flat out *sucks* at acting. Sorry, but she does.

to me, it was surprising that Rosita and Abraham were together. I could not tell at the beginning when Tara and Glenn found them with Eugene.
But Tara saying to her something like: "You follow him because you love him" (about Abe)
It was so weird.
And despite the 2 or 3 sex scenes Rosita and Abe shared on screen, we never saw them being in love or together or making an impression that they care about each other for real.

But I admit, it was sad, when Abe said to her: "I thought you were the last woman on earth, but I know now that you are not"
That was a bit harsh of Abe, but it was a good decision. They had nothing in common.

Sasha and Abe's bond was more visible as they did work together a lot and talked about how they feel about the whole apocalypse and surviving.

I would totally do her; therefore, she should stay.

It shouldn't be her.
It shouldn't be anyone.
They'll win.
But they need to wait for the right moment, or create it, together.
And she's a part of that together.
Don't do this, they need her.

She's the best thing to look at in the zombie apocalypse... Therefore, I second that she stay.

She keeps herself thin and shows off her tits. That's why she has the job.
Rosita is a good fighter, horrible actress though. There's a reason she doesn't get many lines.

Completely agree with your assessment. I just picked up watching TWD again after a voluntary hiatus. I left off just when they rescued Beth from the hospital and I'm now at the point where they're about to meet Negan. Because of social media spoilers, I know a lot of what's to come. In any case, I was hoping CS would be gone by now or at the least, improve as an actress, but no such luck. She's bland and seems to force her emotions (the little that she shows). I feel like I'm watching a high school acting class when she's on screen. I'm guessing the intention of the show casting her was "eye candy" but the show and fans deserve better. Especially when you see each of them evolve, reflect and deal with the world around them. I really hope she is not around too much longer. I cringe when she has a bigger part than just standing there with one hip pushed out and one foot turned out. :)
