I agree. He does look part Black/Sub Saharan African. He does not look like your typical dark Irish dude. Colin Farrell, Catherine Zeta Jones,Stuart Townsend, etc are dark, but they still look Caucasian.They may look Mediterranean. Robert's bone structure/facial features is what makes him stand out. Also his coloring. I know some people will say he gets his looks from the Spanish Armada, but he does not look Spanish or Southern Euro.

He looks exotic. I'm not sure if he's mixed though. Is it because of his curly hair?

He looks pretty European actually. Also, some parts of Africa are very close to the southern parts of Europe.
