Who even is this?

I made a post questioning why we were handing $300 million films to no-name directors and it suddenly vanished, as did any post made within the last 7 months. Odd. Wonder if Moviechat ist trying to cover up any criticism as sexist.

What's interesting is that no, my problems don't stem from a brown woman making a Star Wars movie. i could care less what her skin color or gender is. My problem is that she's made NOTHING but is getting handed a $300 million film. I'm an aspiring filmmaker who's made shorts, and I would NOT want my first feature to be a $300 million Star Wars movie. Imagine the stress, the chaos, directing and telling 10,000 people what to do. With no experience, it'd be a nightmare. I had my hand in directing a $50k project with a cast/crew of about 50, and even that was stressful. It sounds all fun and games until you're in the trenches doing it.

If being a woman is it all Kennedy wants, hire Patty Jenkins, Kathryn Bigelow, or Greta Gerwig. What's Chloe Zhou up to? I've seen her direct large sets and strange characters. Then again, I'm sure Kennedy will basically ghost direct this movie through a no-name director who'll essentially have no power, so I'm sure the plan has been figured out.
