When he disclosed his income last year when announcing his run for POTUS his official financial net worth disclosure only had a few hundred million dollars ($100m - $250m at best) and that's mostly tied up in record deal assets and financial obligations to his record label. They may fork over lumps of money dedicated to his music production but once he produces and releases an album the record label recoups the costs and get a huge share of the profits.

Prince had a similar deal with Sony back in the 80s that tied him financially to Sony and he could not write, produce, or even collaborate with artists who were not approved by Sony Records. Sony also got a huge cut of Prince's profits, but they did shower Prince with lots of money. That's the same situation with Kanye.

His boasting about YeeZee shoes and his supposed "10 year conract" with GAP sound like fictional PR and aren't based on reality.
