Would his mental health be called into question if he'd met with Obama?

I'm just curious how many lefties will lie, be honest or simply ignore this simple question.

reply

Not a leftie or a rightie, but I think that his mental health has been in question long before he met with Trump.

reply

Somewhat, but certainly no news network gathered a panel to discuss it as a reason for any of actions.

reply

No, I do agree. I also don't think that it would have been discussed as much if they didn't have to fill 24/7 news quotas.

reply

There are plenty of Democrats with bipolar who have held office.

reply

Most people who are bipolar go completely unnoticed in society. We certainly don't deny their ability to make decisions for themselves.

reply

I doubt it would've received a tenth of the media attention it did. But honestly if Kanye had gone on as he did when in the Oval Office with Trump, yes his mental health probably would have been called into question (although I doubt there'd be any implication that the mental illness was the root of his support for Obama).

Keep in mind this stems from Kanye's own words (in that Oval Office meeting no less) that he's been diagnosed with mental illness. This isn't left or right to me, this is a genuine belief that Kanye suffers from some kind of disorder. Kanye himself said he was diagnosed as bipolar and he believes this was a misdiagnosis. I'm not sure if he confirmed he stopped taking meds (if he ever did) but the fact that he claims to be the victim of a misdiagnosis would certainly suggest that. People who like Kanye (a camp that I'm not in aside from enjoying one or two songs) should be concerned.

What are your thoughts on Kanye's demeanor during that meeting? Do you think anything at all seemed off with his behavior?

reply

I actually think Kanye is an attention whore, and he is filling his plate with it right now. Your answer is probably the most accurate. His meeting motivation might get called into question, but it's highly unlikely that it would be chalked up exclusively to mental illness.

Agreed. But if he also suffers from bi-polar disorder that he's not treating, he could be heading for some sort of crash. If this is the case, and as I've said before I'm no expert, hopefully the people close to him will guide him to seek some help. If not the media will have no problem giving the world a front row seat to his downward spiral.

reply

I'll go even further to say, I don't know if I truly believe he supports Trump. But it gets his name out there, and he's learned that any press is good press. He might be bipolar, but that hardly concludes he can't make rational choices. I know several people who are bipolar, and the most you'd think is they are a bit more moody than the average person. I thought he had some interesting thoughts, but I've always thought he marched to the beat of his own drum. I attributed it to a lack of touch with the common man due to success at such a young age. Never crossed my mind his actions were due to mental illness. The Taylor swift thing was purely about making the moment his, nothing else.

reply

Every few years or so, Kanye makes a spectacle of himself on TV and people question if he's crazy or stupid. He seems to be ramping up his craziness these days, to be fair.

reply

That might be true, but do you really think the media would attribute his desire to support Obama to mental illness?

reply

Probably not. The media tended to really love the taste of Obama's dick.

reply

I've been calling his mental health into question for years, long before he developed a crush on Trump.
