RIP

I first started playing golf my Junior year of college (1990). One of the golfers who really made an impression on me in my early years of playing was Chi-Chi Rodriguez. He had a really nice run in the early days of The Senior Tour (now called The Champions Tour). Man, he had a great pair of hands...he could really put spin on the ball and had such an incredible short game.

He was so funny in his interviews also. I loved two quotes that were attributed to him. One, he called Jack Nicklaus, "A legend in his spare time." Second, after watching John Daly hit a drive, he said, "When I was a kid, we didn't even go that far on vacation!" 😀

He passed away a few days back and it made me really sad. This popped up in my Facebook feed a few days back..."WKRP In Cincinnati" was one of those shows that I knew all of the characters, but never really watched. I thought this was a funny clip, though...RIP, Chi-Chi Rodriguez:
