If I had a proper keyboard and not just a phone I could rant for ages about the illogic, it's basically saying that transwomen who "pass" are a better representative of trans people than cis actors.
Which is true to some extent, but the reality is that lots of trans dont pass and never will, and this argument kinda throws them under the bus.

Perhaps from the trans advocate‘s view in the video a trans woman who can ‘pass’ is a better representation because they can imbue the role with real experience.
However, the flaw in this I can see is, with specifically the Danish Girl in mind, is more of a physical problem......in that a trans woman who DOES pass would have to play a cis man (who then becomes a transitioning man to full transwoman) which may be difficult and create a poor character/film!?!
Excellent point about playing a cis man for 2/3 of the film, and obviously one that hasn't occurred to the passing-supporter!
There's so much illogic being made public on this subject, it's sad.
