whats with his voice in friends with kids?

The cast sure will attract viewers but fans of bridesmaids who hadn't seen him in anything before know him by his real voice. Being a big IT crowd fan I was psyched that he didn't use an american accent in bridesmaids so why does his character have to have an american accent in friends with kids? He sounds too unnatural.

I completely agree. He sounds like he's from Minnesota. It was so awful. I don't understand why having his normal Irish accent would have changed his character for Friends with Kids. The American accent was too distracting.
