It's really nasally and annoying. Lucy Punch does the same thing. I rather he just use his own accent.

I think he used an American accent in the movie "Friends with Kids" and the TV show "Girls".

I just can't stand this actor. And here I read he has a collection of chocolate bar wrappers? He's a moron.

I completely agree. He was saying some funny shvt on Girls but I couldn't focus bc of his terrible accent.

He's great I love the The IT Crowd and Moone Boy and I'm so happy for him getting movies and Girls but why can just make him Irish in everything? he's "american" accent sucks so much, they don't even have to explain he's from an other bloody country , and they can't say they don't notice the queer american accent

I don't think it can even really be called an American accent tbh. It was half Irish!

Yes, he's horrible in Girls. Not just the accent, the character is dreadful. And I don't mean his character is obnoxious. I mean the introduction, development (or lack thereof) and believability of his character was laughably bad.
