Casting extras for "Jack of the Red Hearts," a feature film starring AnnaSophia Robb, Israel Broussard, Scott Cohen, and Taylor Richardson. Synopsis: A streetwise teenage runaway is on the lam from her probation officer. Her name is Jacquelyn, but if you call her anything but Jack, she’ll cut you. Needing to lay low, earn money, and gain adequate stability to rescue her 11-year-old sister Coke from foster care, Jack cons her way into a suburban home as live-in helper for their autistic 11-year-old daughter, Glory. Much to her surprise, Jack has a unique ability to connect with the nonverbal little girl. As she positively impacts Glory, the family impacts Jack. Particularly Kay, Glory’s mother. As these two scrappy survivors find an affinity with each other, Kay finds in Jack a daughter she can talk to. When romantic sparks fly between Jack and Robert, Glory’s 17-year-old brother, we see a group of wounded people poignantly and surprisingly begin to heal each other---just a little bit. But the law catches up, the truth comes out, and Jack is forced to make a choice---to save her own hide, or save someone else.
I'm now getting an additional American Beauty (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0169547/) vibe from this, that is, it's a little creepy, which makes it even more intriguing -- as in possibly a good/great 'dark' romance-drama film. Well, at least I hope it's good.

Original Information

Appears that AnnaSophia is attempting to squeeze in at least one more movie project before college.

A rebellious teen on the run from her probation officer cons her way into a suburban family as a live-in helper for their Autistic daughter - an experience that changes her cynical perception of the world, but threatens to be snatched away at any moment as the law catches up with her.

I've found very little information, and all about a year-and-a-half old. However, based on the makeup -- note the nose ring -- and story synopsis, the role seems similar to Robb's character (Samantha) in The Space Between (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1525898/).

On the personal opinion side, I gave AnnaSophia a thumb up for her portrayal of Sam, although, I'd deem this continued experimentation, i.e., beyond ASR's well established image. Therefore, I'm going to hold back most of my judgement until actually seeing it, but maintain optimism of potential.

Sounds like an interesting premise.

If God gives you lemons, make lemonade. If given melons, return them and tell God he needs glasses

I liked the photo of her character that she posted to Instagram. It reminds me of Sam from The Space Between as well. Lucky girl got to act with Hunter Parrish in that movie. Anyway, I think that the premise sounds intriguing and it's different from what she has done in the past. AnnaSophia seems to like doing meaningful stories and so I assume there is some depth that intrigued her with the script.

Maybe it's because I'm really into alternative fashion that I don't find colored hair or piercings to be shocking. It's artistic to me. I think it looks cool, but I also don't get all the excitement over a fake nose ring.

Agreed, although (as already mentioned) the character seems similar to Sam. In fact, the story may even feel like a spinoff and extension of The Space Between with a focus on Sam's experience rather than Omar and Montine.

Well, Jack of the Red Hearts does appear to surround an inspirational-type character that ASR has previously been drawn to.

Even if the girl shows signs of innocence, charm, intellect, etc initially, the primary attitude is defiance. This unruly behavior continues until the individual enters a scene that challenges their mindset and choices. At such time, there will be a self-reassessment, which shall finally reveal the flaw(s). Now, with the notion of redemption, she'll utilize her strengths in a new way alongside sacrifices for the betterment of somebody besides herself. In the end, the situation may not meet certain expectations, but the sincere selfless effort to make corrections brings about a meaningful and compelling satisfaction from herself and others.

Put more simply, someone makes significant mistakes, realizes the need for change, and does, causing a personal revelation as well as one to those involved and spectators alike.

Maybe it's because I'm really into alternative fashion that I don't find colored hair or piercings to be shocking. It's artistic to me.
I can respect that.

I'm not shocked by most piercings, tattoos, hair coloring. However, I can't deem the expression commendable -- even though I've considered a tattoo. I am sympathetic of the emo attitude, though most times I find myself doing an eye roll, shrug, and "no" indicating head shake at the ridiculous level most take the statement to.

I also don't get all the excitement over a fake nose ring
I can't close this response out without inquiring because of your addition of "fake"... Does an actual nasal passage pierced nose ring cause you to get excited?

In addition, here are a few interesting, charming, and funny photos posted by Robb:

http://instagram.com/p/pq99pANosS/ -- Totally artsy. If the photo was a higher resolution, it would be a great background image for ASR fans.

http://instagram.com/p/p3p6vONotq/ -- AnnaSophia's goofiness in an artsy form.

http://instagram.com/p/qhFviltorN/ -- The serious expressions makes it that much more adorably funny and as one Instagram commenter stated, "How is it possible to look so good mopping?"

http://instagram.com/p/pte84eNohS/ -- I wonder how much time he spends in that seemingly uncomfortable position

http://instagram.com/p/prOCLytorD/ -- Since I'm commenting on the rest... Cute and couldn't make for a better healthy eating role model-type ad.

I've always liked Robb so I am excited to see her in a movie with Famke Janssen (I'm assuming Janssen plays the mother, Kay).
