Beautiful facial/eye structure looks good only on women

I agree that Alyssa Sutherland is a beauty. Why else would she be cast on VIKINGS as the mysterious, 'sorceress-siren'-like beauty who takes an almost instant liking and bedding to Rothgar, whose constant smarta$$ smirking face I can't stand.

Now for my point. I've seen Alyssa's facial and eye type on other girls before; the somewhat thin, sharp angular face; eyes that are narrow and pointed at both corners and slightly canted, almost giving an 'Asian'-like semblence. These girls I've seen always have long hair, are almost all brunettes and their eyes most of the time are green or blue or a combination. These girls tend to have nice figures because their sharp, angular, narrower faces are matched by slender bodies. You won't find a girl with a face like that with a fat figure.
Here's what I'm going to astonish you about.

When that facial type is on a guy's face, he often gets teased about having a 'rat' face, because of the narrow, angular features and narrow, slitted, canted eyes. That face is beautiful on a young woman, but wrong for a guy and it's not masculine enough. It's the same as the opposite, the so-called, 'horse' face, or, 'horsy' face, when someone appears to have a somewhat or slighly elongated face. It's okay for a guy and might even add a touch of masculinity but it's totally bad luck for a young woman. She'll never be a beauty. Such a woman has to compensate with, long hair, and clever use of cosmetics, like eyeliner and shadow, redder lipstick, cheek blush, all to take away the focus on the long face. Notice I didn't write, pile on the makeup like a clown. I mean, judicious and skilled use of the right amounts at the right places.

As for having the 'pig' face, it's lose-lose but if one is going to be stuck with the 'piggy' face, better to be a guy than a girl.
Same goes for the 'doggy' face. Anytime someone has an animal-like semblence, it's better to be a guy. The rat face only works well for young women.

The sought-after, beautiful woman's face, the world over, must be totally human and not remind anyone of any animal. In the western world, the heart-shaped face is considered the most feminine and appealing on a woman.

Nice thesis. I don't agree with you on every point you've made but you clearly offering a very interesting argument. Most faces that people regard as attractive from both genders are not usually faces that are ultra masculine or ultra feminine, but a nice mix producing a kind of androgynous face. Especially in show business, it's desirable for a man to have some pretty features and for a woman to have some manly features, facially speaking. Also many attractive people have faces that resemble those of animals and people don't necessarily consider them unattractive for it

She looks like Lynn Lowry from The Crazies(1973).

She is both interesting looking and beautiful. Nothing generic about her face which is nice. She does look like Lynn Lowry or Sissy Spacek.

I think she is freaking gorgeous!

Ugly as sin.
Bulbous mixamatosis eyes and too wide a mouth with too many protruding teeth on the top row.

Sorry, I'm in agreement with "Goatlips". Looks like an alien with big teeth. I almost never get on imdb to write a negative post, but I'm so annoyed with how she is regarded as this beautiful, goddess type on Vikings. I think Lagertha is much more beautiful.

Fabio would look good as a man or woman
