Aggravated kidnapping??
I haven't seen anybody here talk about this aspect of the charges against the five ex-Memphis "police officers". I personally think this charge is a stretch and I don't think that they will be convicted of that. Why were they charged with that?? In fact, they were charged with two counts of it. Maybe it has to do with them pulling him out of the car? I really wish they would release the dash cam footage of everything before they pulled him out of the car. Usually cops don't pull people out of the car like that unless they've been acting a fool like not pulling over when they're supposed to etc. There's got to be a reason why they're not releasing that footage. Although I can't really figure out why. Maybe because it will show that he really was trying to run from them and not pull over?? But, I think that if the footage shows that they really truly did just drive up to him and pull him out of the car for no reason, that may be where the aggravated kidnapping charges comes in. I'm just speculating. But I'm trying to figure out what these kidnapping charges are all about. Has anybody else ever heard of a police officer being charged with the aggravated kidnapping of a suspect? If they were to get convicted on that charge, wouldn't that set a dangerous precedence? Wouldn't that mean that all suspects in police custody are victims of kidnapping? π€π€π€π€
