PR stunt.

They realize RIGHT NOW that they can't come up with new material so they coordinated with their record label a pronouncement of splitting up which allows them to market shitloads of unreleased mixes, live performances, and unreleased songs with the panache that they're unique, yet unrealized hit songs.

After 10 years, Gen Z will hit 21 and a new audience will be eager to hear some new shit.
