Brain damage?
Is he brain damaged? I would explain some of the more odd things about him, and his weird zoned out behavior.

sharePart of it is that he has a ridiculous sleep schedule (as in, as little as he can get away with). Greg Sestero has mentioned that there are times when Wiseau's brain just shuts down because he's so sleep deprived.
Part of it is that, no matter what he claims, he was born somewhere other than the United States. English is not his first language, and the things about American culture that you or I know so thoroughly that we don't have to think about it anymore, he's still learning.
I guess that makes sense. I read something about him having been in a car crash at some point, so I figured he suffered some kind of head damage that caused his bizarre behavior.
shareI was recently there for the 12th anniversary of the Room's showing. He was there and I got to play catch with a football with him. I didn't ask him if English was his first language, but, I'm regretting not doing it. When it was time for the Q&A session I couldn't think of anything to ask.
