BBC: Voters decide who will take charge after Merkel

This unpredictable election looked over until Mrs Merkel entered the fray, her career at the top of German politics now weeks from coming to an end.

"It really matters who's in power," she warned voters repeatedly in the 48 hours before the vote. Her message was that Germany needed stability and its youth needed a future - and Armin Laschet was the man to provide it.

Scholz will probably win,but i have heard he is not very different from Merkel. I would have prefered someone very different from her like Merz.

Exit polls have SPD and CDU CSU tried at 25%. Won't know results for a while.

Hopefully they find an agreememt soon so Merkel goes. And lets hope whoever will come next will be better than her,we'll see.
