Just finished watching Dexter and I must say that JC outstaged M.C.Hall in some of the last episodes. Especially in s07e08 (the house beach evening scene) and s08e01. She should receive some awards for those performances. Don't really care if others don't agree, just needed to say this.

shareI think the Debra character came into her own towards the end of season 2 (I love the whole "old west sheriff" line), and continued to improve. I feel the show erred with her character in the end though.
sharei hated deb. she was some sort of supercop solving every crime. went from my favourite show to just a show i put on while doing something else, just to have something on tv. then once she stopped being a supercop, last 2 seasons, it became my favourite show again. i like her when she's not a supercop
