She was damn good in season 7 ! Anyone agrees?

***SPOILER*** When she founds out that Dexter is a serial killer and in all the episodes after that.. I mean, her eyes, the tears, the way how she tries to deal with it, the combat in herself, her emotions and so on.. Debra is a fighter, but she went through *beep* in some seasons and she can´t swallow everything like Dexter..

She delivered the best acting of the show. Great actress.

she is so good yet so underrated. I hope she gets something really big in her own right now dexter is finished. She seems so lovely and so far removed from Deb. Shows just how good she is.

I am sooo late to this conversation lol

Just finished all 8 seasons and think it's one of the best shows I've ever seen. Now I know why I never saw 'that girl from Exorcism of Emily Rose', where she first made an impression on me.

I don't get all the hate on her board I think she's a fantastic actress. Not many shows really grab me and get me emotionally invested but I felt horrible for her - queasy even after the season 7 finale. And then I felt even worse seeing what her character was going thru during season 8! The last 2 seasons gave her such great material and I think she really nailed it - I could not believe she didn't get any nominations for her performance in this show.

I love her character Deb - always had the best lines and always so over the top - so many times where you wanna come up with a great comeback or something really scathing and all you can muster up is a string of cuss words. Clearly her character has been trying to 'fit in' with the fellas since she was a young girl, which is why she's such a potty mouth. Overcompensating. Why people don't get that is beyond me.

Anyway, look forward to seeing her in whatever she does next...

People trolling with multiple handles for the same opinion post the same flamebait over and over again, trying to get a response from people. They attack Ms Carpenter's appearance and her acting ability in hopes of getting an angry response in hopes of using it to get into private clubs. It's their application, and depending on how angry the response, they may or may not be able to get in. The more you lose your cool, the better their chances to get in...

It's best not to get drawn into their foolishness. It's juvenile and what they're looking for: anger and rage. Jennifer Carpenter is a fine actress who is attractive with an athletic body. Most of the lowlifes who criticize her are living with their parents and failing at life. They're children who will never grow up or defectives with personality disorders.

When Fox Network shut down their boards a year ago, all their members came to other places with their angers and resentments intact. The troll count here increased dramatically. Many of them are expressing their anger and hatred at having an African American President in many ways unconnected to politics. They've been expelled from Fox for a year now. It doesn't appear that they will calm down. Fox shut down when the hacker group Anonymous announced that they would hack Fox's boards. Fox didn't want to pay the costs to have their security upgraded. Their former members should be really angry with Fox, but they're angry at everyone else but Fox. Interesting how deranged they are, isn't it?

She was phenomenal in the early episodes of Dexter Season 7. I cannot fathom how she did not get any nomination for any of the first 5 eps.

Besides M.C. Hall, she's my favorite character. She deserves an Emmy for Dexter but I know it's too late now. I hope to see her getting Emmys & Oscars in the near future.

I feel the exact same way you do @njscreenwriter. I just finished Dexter today and am so saddened that she died when she was so close to finding happiness in her cruel life. She played the part perfectly and honestly and filled with emotion.
I don't know why people are so mean, she's fantastic and beautiful.
