She is awful in every way.

I'm curious as to who you consider to be a good actress. Truly, that says it all.

I think she's great...especially this season. I also thought she was hilarious in White Chicks... yeah, White Chicks, ridiculous film but JC totally rocked it.

She's one of my favorite characters on the show. She's been brilliant this season with the whirlwind of going through finding out her Brother is a serial killer and also coming out with being in love with him. She's (the character) been a mess and has played it really well I think.

She's carrying the show now. Deb is the only likeable character left and Carpenter's acting has been fantastic this season, her performance in the s7 finale was amazing.

I agree she has been awesome in season 7. I didn't really put much thought into her character or her acting previously, it fit in with the overall good quality of the show, but didn't stand out to me as being any better or worse than anyone else, but then this season she was on fire, she stood out repeatedly. I don't know if it's the writing or her growing as an actor but I was seriously impressed throughout season 7. I hope she keeps it up into season 8.

(I also really didn't like the whole Deb likes Dex thing, but now even though I wish they hadn't gone that route I like how it adds to the tragedy of Deb's fall. That final scene of the season 7 finale was one of the most emotionally wrenching I've ever seen for a TV character, and everything we've ever seen of Deb brought power to that moment. Her choice and the effect it will have on her.)
