shareI completely agree.. It's all very forced.
shareI hate to say it but most of the OITNB cast is like that. The majority of scenes feel forced and unnatural, a near miss but a miss nonetheless. It is like watching a high school play written by an extremely talented writer but the kids playing the parts are technically good but just don't have the emotional depth to sell it. I especially cringe when they have scenes that involve fighting or supposed violence; it just doesn't ring true.
I disagree about the whole cast being like that. There are some very good characters. Laverne's scenes are horrendous. And explains why she has so few scenes and a lame storyline. The facial mannerisms just don't jive with the dialogue. Hard to watch.
shareI completely disagree! Some of the actresses are phenomenal especially the one playing Poussey and Lorna! The real standouts are Voss and Lea Delaria who has been acting alot longer than most of these ladies. These amazing ladies have kept me interested for 4 seasons now as well as a good chunk of the global population! They're doing something right!
