I was surprised to see her on a list of influential people under 35, so I googled her birthday and apparently she was born in 1984? I assumed she was at least 35, and probably more like 40. This has no impact on the roles she's been playing or how she looks, I guess I just thought she seemed older. Or maybe it's because her character on OITNB is definitely over 30. Age doesn't matter I'm just usually good about guessing ages lol

shareHer twin brother is 41/42..so...I don't know why she or the reporters are stating she's 30. That means she would have been in her late 20's when shooting OITNB, and only 22/23 when she did Diddy's show.
I understand actors lie about their age, but it's hard to get away with it today.
I worked with her at a NYC restaurant in 97'-that would make her 13 at the time which is impossible and she went by her male name Rodderick

shareNo way 1984 is correct. There are pics of Laverne online when she was male from 1997 where she looked about early 20's then. She's pushing 40, if not yet 40, now.
