New Interview (Hitfix)

Hello, everybody!

Lee gave a new interview to Hitflix, where he talks about (among other things) "Halt And Catch Fire" (Season 3), "Revolt", the anniversary of ten years of "The Fall" and his wish to go back on stage with a Shakespearean play:

There's only one down side to all of it: I wouldn't be able to watch him on stage, unless someone recorded it. But, then the very essence of theater would be gone!

Best wishes

Action and power draw you like a moth to a flame. It burns inside you. Ares

Lee Pace, the actor is like Andy Taylor, the sheriff of Mayberry. He lives in a sleepy community, goes fishing and spends evenings on the front porch strumming his guitar. He sometimes entertains (with reluctance) guests. He goes to the movies occasionally, to dinner with friends, and enjoys picnicking at the Lake.

Oh My God. I just wish he gets his wish and get an awesome director to direct him, because he's so damn talented. I wish to see him in something heart wrenching like the Pianist.

I don't think he cares. I find it hard to believe he couldn't be working. He rarely tweets and doesn't promote himself in anything, except now when everyone else is tweeting about HACF. However, he tweets about his charity in Africa, running a marathon and yes, I knew it was coming, a photo from his barn. He isn't interested in working right now.

What's going on? I'm cleaning my barn. And #haltandcatchfire Season 3. 2hr premiere. Aug 23. Exactly one week.

Still, it is unnerving that he hasn't got any new project lining up. To be frank, Lee doesn't have much box office power and he has a line of movies that were not even released in theatre. It looks like "Revolt" may be going that way too. I do hope he would pick some TV movies or mini-series that can get him more exposure. And some comedies too, though not necessarily a reboot of Pushing Daisies. His laugh and sparkling eyes lighted up that lousy movie "Ceremony". I really really missed that.

Is he turning down roles, not getting the roles he wants or is no one interested? I guess we'll know if HACF gets canceled. Will he show up in something else or just be happy down on the farm? 

reply

I wish to see him in something substantial. Something in the caliber of Soldier's Girl...something different.

reply

I wouldn't say he isn't interested in working. Maybe he's just not interested in what's being offered to him.

We can't possibly know what is going on with him, but you have to concede he hasn't worked except HACF. Sadly an actor's worth is based on what he or she just finished. I certainly don't want him to take any job or do something that is not up to par, but the longer he doesn't work, it is not good for him in terms of getting any parts. Again I know nothing about what is going on in his life but from the little bit we get, he is quite happy at his farm.
