I didn't read the book, does Irina play an important role?
Irina is quite important, she sets like the whole battle up, but I don't think maggie will have a very big role.

shareYeah she will probably be in both, it depends where they split the film. She is not evil, they just have rules that they need to follow in their world, and she could get in just as much trouble just for knowing about a rule someone else is breaking. So shesort of grasses on the main characters, but she wasn't very happy with them in the first place so that didn't help!
shareI just read that Irina only appears in the third and final part of Breaking Dawn so I guess Maggie might only star in Breaking Dawn II. And I read that Irina gets killed by the volturi :-(

yeah that makes sense..it would be too early to cast her for part 2. I'm sure they expand her role a bit.
In the books Irina is in love with Laurent right? Who is Laurent? lol is he some kind of major character?
He was one of the 3 main villains from the first film, he surrenders and goes to live with Irinas covern, then they fall in love (off screen) then he comes back in the second film to help out Victoria (1 of the 3 main villains) and he gets killed by the werewolves. But Irina blames the Cullens because they are friends with the wolves.
