Her character in Elementary is freaking ANNOYING

Well, gotta say usually I deeply sympathise with rape/victims, but even I couldn't stand her character! So goddamn irritating and pointless. She was nothing but a boring third wheel. Poorly written character as it is. Plus her appalling indecipherable accent annoyed the *beep* out of me. Good riddance, Kitty, hopefully you won't be back, like, EVER.

Yup.
She acted like she was twelve, so pathetically jealous of Watson (that got old very fast. very very fast) and acting like she knew everything when she didn't, and yet Sherlock rarely called her on it. Rather than work to be as good as Sherlock, to be as good as Watson, she just seemed to whine and complain all the time, pouting and insolent as a teenager, not a woman in her twenties. She was cocky and arrogant with absolutely zero reason to be. At least Sherlock had results to back up his arrogance, she didn't. She almost blew several cases because of her jealousy and arrogance. She almost had me stopping watching Elementary, she was that irrritating.

It wasn't how she changed the dynamic between Watson and Sherlock, that dynmaic was already changed by the events of the end of S2, and Sherlock's flight. It was her awful character and for a Brit she had a terrible accent, i don't know if that's hers or if she was told to play it up for the US audience - some of the worst British accents I've heard on US TV are perpetrated by Brits that have been told to over-exaggerate their accents lest the US audience be unable to tell they're meant to be British - and I don't know if the lisp and slur when she spoke is her own, or a result of her trying to fake an accent not her own but it was like nails down a chalkboard every time she spoke. I was thrilled when she left. I hope she doesn't come back
