He should be doing more dramatic roles

I loved him in Rush and was the first time I saw his potential for acting.

He even himself said in an interview after Rush which didn't do too well commercially but he started getting all these calls and offers it's like suddenly wow you're an actor.

I mean Thor is good and all that but he's really got potential to be much more than in a superhero career.

I agree.

I read/saw an interview the other day where he was asked what's next for him. He replied that mid way through 2016 he'll be making the next Thor and then shooting the next 2 Avengers movies back to back straight after that. However I was surprised when he added that between now and the next Thor he was hoping to do something else quite different. Which made me think that he must have something 'in the wings' not yet announced.

He's very talented, not just handsome. Part of the problem is the strange biased against him as if he's only a nice face. This criticism comes from people who tend to like one type of actor, or are angry at how attractive he is, or their girlfriend thinks he is hot.

He's done well in all the parts that he has taken, most of the criticism is not even original or all that thoughtful. You can tell he cares deeply too just based on how much research and physical commitment he puts into each role. As far as accents go, that is HIS voice, it's deep, his voice is always going to sound that way. Just like Johnny Depp always sounds like Johnny Depp, no matter what role he takes. Both men do just fine, but the depth and tone is just what a person is born with.

I think he is trying to do more dramatic roles in between the Marvel films and that is a smart thing to do of course. I hope one of these films are actually successes box office wise one day.
