what's with the remakes and reboots?

just noticed he has done and is working on a lot of them.

Ghostbusters, Vacation, Star Trek, Red Dawn.

he's in his early 30s, you'd think he would have grown up on them and would be against remakes/reboots.

I'm 32 and if I was an actor and they approached me for one or more I would tell them to F off!

As to the Star Trek and Red Dawn, he was much younger and one of many struggling actors in Hollywood at that time. So telling them to f. off would have been career suicide.

I don't know about the other 2 movies except that it's known that he wants to try a bit of comedy.

You really expect all people to think like you?

Most people, actors or audience, don't think of remakes or reboots as this weird scary boogeyman made by secret Jews or communists or whatever. It's movies. If it interests you, you take the job. Sometimes you just take any job because you need the work.

i was in a theater class in college and we had an actress Elizabeth Ashley from Dragnet (tom hanks and Danny akroyd) come talk to us. During the Q and A i asked her about taking jobs for money and her response was "Do you wanna get paid??" Of course actors take jobs for money. She told a story about how she wanted to do Shakespear in the park in new york, but had to skip it and instead was doing a scene with Lee Majors on Six Million Dollar man, because it meant a paycheck.
