The reason I hate this POS is because I'm a strong supporter of the police. I have a blue striped Flag right below my American flag in front of my house. But what Chauvin did was give the cop-haters a tailor made video of a cop suffocating a black man to death, even if Chauvin didn't intentionally do it or do it because Floyd was black.

Back in HS, I was at the bottom of a celebration scrum after we beat our rival in our annual Thanksgiving football jamboree. I was probably under that pile for at most 10 seconds, but 10 seconds when your chest is compressed and you can't draw a breath feels like an hour. The thought of that incident still troubles me to this day.

Chauvin had Floyd face down and handcuffed behind his back. He knelt on top of him to the point where he couldn't draw a breath. Considering his weight, age, health, drug use, the trauma of those 6 minutes struggling for air caused his heart to stop.

Did Chauvin intentionally kill Floyd? No.
Did Chauvin abuse Floyd because he was black? No.
Did Chauvin cause Floyd's death? Yes.

Tell you what - check out the "new" interpretation of the autopsy and quote any part of it that proves Floyd died of a drug overdose. Strongrex just posted 8 pages of word salad which tap-danced around the subject and never proved his point (despite what he thinks).

Honestly, I'm not inclined to spend hours poring over a subject that I'm not qualified to comment on (medically speaking I mean), but if a legitimate medical examiner has said something that says that Floyd's death was due or even most likely due to fentanyl overdose, I'm very interested in reading it.

I absolutely did read those links, and there is nothing in them except spin and tap dancing. At best, they might get Chauvin off on a technicality (like there might be a one in a thousand chance that Floyd would have died anyway), but nothing I read shows that Floyd would have died regardless of what Chauvin did.

That's what I want, and I don't intend to spend hours looking for something that likely doesn't exist.

Since Chauvin was found guilty, it's up to those who are saying his conviction is wrong to cite something that presents real evidence, not word salad.

So what I am asking for is for you to simply cite a single line or two from an actual medical examiner who has said that Floyd died of a drug overdose. Just a quote even. If Floyd died from a drug overdose, then this doesn't require 8 pages. A single statement from a ME that says Floyd died from an OD is an easy request - if it exists.

I am very open minded, but there's two BIG problems here:

The first is a video where a professional police officer knelt on the upper back of a man struggling to breathe, then continued to do so for several minutes after he died.

The second is that every medical professional who has commented on this has said that Floyd apparently did NOT die from fentanyl.

For me to change my open mind, I need to unsee the video (not easy) and I need to see where the medical examiners say Floyd died from fentanyl.

Too many people have a binary thought process and if someone or some group they hate says something, they *must* disagree with it.

Chauvin also didn't shoot him, stick a knife in his heart, break his neck, stick an icepick in his temple...

That quote only says what Floyd didn't die from, but it also doesn't say what he did die from.

You don't need an airway to be blocked to cause asphyxiation. While a Cheeta kills its pray by clamping down on the windpipe, boa constrictors kill by compressing the lungs of its victims. No airway blockage.

Between the drug use and a bad heart, Floyd was a sick man who probably would have been dead in months anyway, but his condition meant Chauvin's kneeling on his upper body while face down (and cuffed) on the ground caused his death by cardiac failure, which is why he was convicted, which is why he's in prison.

I simply asked specifically for ONE quote from an accepted medical examiner that says that Floyd died from fentanyl or any other drug. You provided none which didn't surprise me. I'd be surprised if even one out of a thousand MEs would say that.

My fifth grade (and a wee bit more) education serves me in that I require facts from people trained in areas in which I am not - medical in this case. Since I am not a medical professional, I MUST rely on what those with medical knowledge say about this case and use my intuition to judge whether they are slanting what they are saying for their own reasons where opinions differ.

If you have a degree in the medical sciences, I would be glad to accept your opinion and use it to counter the others who say otherwise.

In the meantime, since my education is limited, I ask that you re-read your links and cull from them at least one quote from an accredited medical examiner who believes that Floyd died from fentanyl and not from Chauvin's restraint.

Failure to reply to this very simple request for a single quote means they don't exist, and your belief that Chauvin didn't kill Floyd is invalid.
