I think I've only seen her on BBT, where she's supposed to be from Texas and I wanted to know if that's her real accent. I find it very sexy.

Nope, she is from NY. Long Island to be specific.

She's obviously not from Texas. Her accent is beyond awful.

Agreed. She sounds like she's trying to sound like Ella Mae Clampett. I hate when shows cast northern actors who must fake a southern accent when I'm sure there are plenty of southern actors with original dialects that could play the part as well or better.
