With all due respect to Kurt Smith, I always thought Orzabal was the driving force behind Tears For Fears. I just love his guitar solo on "Shout" (I hate the edited version...the longer album version is fantastic). They were a great band and I still enjoy hearing their music today.
Damn. He did look like Jon Cryer. Not that I think Cryer was ever goodlooking! It's just that I remember Tears for Fears from the 80's and they kinda gave me the creeps appearance wise. Though in retrospect they were a good New Wave duet.
In the 80's I was into more severe punk and I thought Tears for Fears was too mainstream.
