GQ article (Tom's on the cover!)

It made me tear up. Very heartwarming interview.

Bless him. I didn't expect to feel a little teary, but it was a good read. I loved that he chose to, well, be the earnest Tom we've always enjoyed. It was more vulnerable than expected and I did read with a little trepidation, but I love that he continues to defy expectations 🙂

A great pity, I thought they made a handsome couple and brought a bit of happiness to the summer.

That's what you call a lovely article? That interview was nothing but embarrassing. He's trying too hard to be liked and validated. His answers are heavily scripted and his behavior is naive and downright odd. This has got to be one of the most embarrassing interviews i've read from him and that's saying a lot since he loves being a circus bear for his fans. He needs new PR management desperately.

It gives out some pretty interesting pointers, on the way the media, and public discourse, functions these days. Also good to read Tom speak in earnestness.

Of course, it's little to no surprise, to watch the band of gossip-vultures coming along, picking up this earnestness and twisting it around to fit their bully objectives. It's easier to follow their script, than to take a good hard look at themselves, and ponder on the meaning of this hunger to trash and vilify anything sincere, emotive, and, ultimately, harmless.

Bullies still have this stage on IMDB for some days more. They won't give up. But does anybody care? Wait, maybe that's the point? Nobody cares about them, they are just sad sad people. So they decide to vilify everyone or everything on this planet. Well, still not sorry for them at all.

I enjoyed this article. And jumped to Taffy Akner website to read the others. She's good at what she does.

Are you serious? She was making fun of him throughout the whole piece in a clever journalistic fashion. You couldn't see that?
She revealed Tom as pathetic, insecure, a pretentious dork, and not to mention still lying his butt off when it came to that fake pr showmance with Swift. She mocked him during the entire thing. It was leveling to read.

Well, whatever you wanted to see in it...
