She. Is. Awesome!

Hands down one of the best ACTRESSES in a long time. Oh uh, that's all caps because some people on this forum seem to think that comedy-fiction is a true story. Just an actress... it's not real life wackos. lol

All of her scenes in The Goods were filled with funny! INCLUDING the scenes where she stalks the, et-em, 10 year old (who, in real life is probably pushing 40! :-\ ) You see, since it IS a comedy, and it's NOT a true story, it's therefore... um, funny? Yeah... funny. My son was 10 years old when that movie debuted and I didn't take it as she was going to stalk him. Get real.

This latest pic of hers, Afternoon Delight, is enthralling, erotic, awkward, wonderful. She has the lead role for which I applaud her. She has a real grasp on playing these characters to the bone.

I am glad she was in that stink-fest Walter Mitty... because when she was on screen, it made the movie worth watching. Ben Stiller needs to stick to roles that humiliate him, (see Something About Mary, Duplex, Heartbreak Kid, etc.) and then he is in his niche.

Kathryn Hahn is a delightful, refreshing change from all of the actresses I am "supposed" to like. People like Julia Roberts or that Gomez girl or anyone from a vampire tv show/film (rolling eyes). She fits nicely in this niche of what Pacino in Devil's Advocate said, "...don't let 'em see ya comin'". She is a surprise in all of her roles... but I am on to her. Now when I have the foresight to "see her comin" out in a new film... I am always expecting the goods.

xstrym - I TOTALLY AGREE! (in CAPS - haha!) I think she's just wonderful. I've loved her in everything I've seen her in. I think the first time I noticed her was in several episodes of Hung and that's when I realized she was the neighbor in Revolutionary Road. Right now, I'm watching Afternoon Delight - she just rocks this movie. Yes, she is delightful, refreshing, quirky, cute - all that.

I hope she goes far.

I love hearing about things that I may have missed my favorite actors in! "Hung", you say? Is that show worth checking out? I don't know how I missed it. I guess I was just busy! ;) Looks like she was only in 3 eps, so if I were to watch it at least up to her scenes would that be the best way, or could I (should I) just skip to her scenes and be done with it? I notice that it was only on for 2 years... hmmm.

LOL, I just re-read my OP because it has been so long since I posted it. Wow! What was I smokin' when I wrote that? It was a poignant, lucid and rave review! (if I do say so my damn self! ;) She could do herself a favor and hire me! lol... or maybe the stuff I am smokin' now isn't as good?!? heh

I really didn't realize how much great work she has done. Loved her in this is where I leave you. She's one of those reliable character actresses who always does a lot with her characters regardless of screen time. She looks to be very funny in "she's funny that way" shame to hear Happyish was cancelled was looking forward to seeing her regularly again. She's also classically beautiful not that hot typical actress, but a very classic old movie star charm and beastly about her.
