This guy takes being a character actor too far IMO. You cannot agree to getting killed brutally or being humiliated in every role. Otherwise the industry will treat you as disposable
Batman v Superman, True Detective, Killing Them Softly, Aftermath, even in Narcos Mexico he comes across as weak
He's a better actor than 90% of his costars in most of the work he does, but he usually only has small parts or else his roles end up with him being humiliated
Godless is probably his best role and even that isn't a strong lead role
