In that he takes a long ass time to make a movie but whenever he does it's really well received?
shareplease, dawg. I get what you're saying but malick's last 3 films have been garbage. still giving weightless and voyage of time a shot though. I think tom ford will be 2 for 2. however, malick has been a hit or miss throughout his career. don't tell me you think every single one of his films is amazing cause then you're just lying to me and yourself.
share7 years between films isn't too bad, especially since Tom Ford is known more for being a fashion designer than a director. But he's clearly a very talented writer and director. He's also capable of making an entertaining film that people actually want to watch, unlike Malick who just seems to splice together random images in plotless films that bore the audience to tears.
shareTo The Wonder was terrible. But I enjoyed Badlands, Days of Heaven, and the Thin Red Line, and the Tree of Life is my second favorite movie of all time. I still need to see New World, Knight of Cups, and his most recent documentary though.
