We don't have to like or agree with her, but routinely taking ugly pot shots at a teenager for any reason is unconscionable. And that she expresses concern for the world she has to grow up in, and gets vilified?
What's wrong with people these days?
What difference does it make if she's a teenager? If she is going to get up and speak, she needs to be prepared to have people disagree with her. Also, she is now an adult. And, she doesn't "express concern for the world she grows up in." Rich but thuggish mummy and daddy have shielded her from the real world.
It's people like you who are just as dangerous as people as the forces and powers that be that are behind the so-called Greta movement. Greta doesn't care about the environment. All the plastic in her Tesla that wealthy environmentalist in name only, Aaahhhnold, rented for her, is proof of that.

shareI'm still trying to grasp the For and Against battle between Climate Change. I accept the science that man is slowly burning up the atmosphere with excessive carbon production and that it IS adversely affecting the weather patterns resulting in catastrophes around the world BUT I don't feel emotionally vested in it. On the flip side, the deniers seem way too against it and use stupid logic that it's a Leftist strategy to control human beings with hoaxes. In the end, both sides are just yelling at each other and talking past each other in a more amplified manner. What's ironic is that the Pro side doesn't have a mitigating solution to replace fossil fuels that doesn't hamper development in 3rd and 2nd World countries that need it, and the Against side, for the most part, are not even direct beneficiaries of fossil fuel companies.
shareI think this is the Russians trying to break American society, or the Republicans trying to rend the fabric of American society to keep the people from uniting against them. We have been manipulated to get angry and politicize everything these days. I am so sick of it. 70% of Americans whether they know it or not subscribe to a mostly Progressive agenda, and it is not even allowed to be talked about in the media or the government. We are being exploited, ripped off, and in some cases just left to die by our own government. No time to whine and argue with each other.
Greta is a way above average young women who is taking some personal responsibility to try to solve some of the world's problems. Republicans just say the world about personal responsibility, but they never take any. I know what you mean, the trolls complain about Greta and praise Adolf. Go figure.
