yep, that is whats wrong with human nowadays. most of the time they mixed up person with their skin color, nationality and heritage.
just because shes a girl with white skin, non slit-eye, she cant be consider as japanese or any asian country...

True that her parents are american. but keep in mind she was born in Japan, thus her nationality is japanese. nevermind her heritage and skin color or she said that she's a white girl in a magazine. unless she changed to US citizen..

She looks pretty much Caucasian but something about her facial structure -- her eyes, perhaps -- suggests the slight hint of mixed race or perhaps eastern European influence (which in turns comes from Asians who overran that part of the world in centuries past). She is pretty, one way or the other. I'm not sure what started this messageboard about racism, however.

Yeah, she looks abit like a girl I know who is half japanese half french, like sofie fatale. But the reason she could have a japanese parent and still look more caucasian comes down to genetics. With mixed ethnicity children, i've noticed that physically they tend to go more the way of their mothers ethnicity.

E.G I've met alot of mixed asian/caucasian people who tend to look more asian because their caucasian father married an asian mother. But recently I've met a few people who look more caucasion, to the point where you can barely, or sometimes not detect the asian side, and their mother is always caucasion while the father is asian.

Also look at Halle Berry, her mother was white, she has quite light skin and european esque features. Not to mention if you look at photo's of them, they look very similar except for their colour.

So she very well could be part japanese, if thats the case it's likely her father was asian and her mother caucasian.

Unless her parents were citizens then she isn't Japanese. Is Kiefer Sutherland English? People get born in foreign countries due to varying circumstances. Japan is for the Japanese, and that's how it should stay. I admire the Japanese for so far resisting too much immigration. (although sadly that is changing)

I was born in the United States, but grew up in Scotland, with my Scottish parents. I'm sorry, but I have NEVER considered myself American!!!

Sutherland was born in Britain to parents who were both Canadian.
He said in a British tv interview that he holds a British passport.
Perhaps he has a Canadian passport as well,I do not know.

Some people seem to confuse nationality with race.
