shareLike no other actors have gotten help from their parents. Just forget Jamie Lee Curtis, Drew Barrymore, Josh Brolin, and Charlie Sheen. Then maybe you have a point. Juno has potential to be a good actor. Don't cut her off at the knees just cuz she's part of a showbiz family.
shareNot a massive surprise. It seems as if the British film industry in particular has a big problem with nepotism; virtually every up and coming British actor or actress is related to someone else in the industry.
shareHow much pull do you think Julian Temple has in Hollywood anyway? He may have gotten her in the British "St. Trinian's" movies, but there is no way they got her in the "Batman" franchise.
This is a bizarre and frankly pretty stupid criticism. . .
Every film industry (and music industry and television industry and corporate industry and just about every other industry ever) is like that. That said, Juno Temple is a good actress. I don't think she's another Kim Kardashian or Jessica Simpson or anything. She's got chops and she's pretty.
shareI think the question is fair because she isn't a very good actor. The Brass Teapot is the first lead I've seen her in and I don't understand how you can land jobs in acting with only one facial expression. 90% of the time she has a kind of blank expressionless stare. She's not terrible, but there are a lot of better actors out there that don't seem to get as many job. And when you read in her bio both her parents are in the business... it does make you wonder.
